They are currently looking to expand their team by hiring a Project Engineer.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$115k – $120k DOE
Position Overview:
This company is seeking a Project Engineer to play a pivotal role in overseeing engineering programs from initial proposal through qualification testing, emphasizing comprehensive design, development, analysis, and reporting. Acting as the primary technical liaison with customers, the Project Engineer engages regularly in technical discussions and formal meetings, ensuring effective coordination with suppliers and internal teams including Design, Reliability, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for the Project Engineer.
Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:
- Lead project teams and interface with customers and operations personnel.
- Be a liaison with the customer and suppliers.
- Work in a team environment with other design disciplines within the organization.
- Interact daily with Design, Reliability, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management.
- Work courteously and resolutely with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals.
- Oversee engineering program activities from inception to completion, encompassing proposal, design, analysis, and qualification testing.
- Generate and review technical reports/presentations, including formal documents to be submitted to the customer.
- Perform program planning and budgeting.
- Work closely with functional departments to assure that all requirements are being addressed; recurring and non-recurring costs, adherence to schedule, safety, product functionality, and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize strong knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
- Perform risk management and alert senior management when concerns arise which could affect project cost, schedule, or system safety.
- Prepare project data deliverables.
Qualifications for the Project Engineer:
- Aerospace experience.
- Document writing, technical writing, and schedule management experience.
- Proficiency in Creo 3D modeling software.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ideally Aerospace.
