Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and innovative Project Engineer to lead critical product development initiatives. This role combines technical design expertise, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive success from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced 3D modeling software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar platforms to develop and maintain detailed product models.
- Create and manage comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation to ensure project accuracy and quality.
- Serve as the lead engineer for assigned projects, overseeing timelines, deliverables, and resource coordination to meet project goals.
- Partner with marketing teams to conceptualize product designs, develop cost analyses, and establish realistic project timelines.
- Lead review meetings with teams across sales, marketing, purchasing, and production, ensuring alignment and addressing challenges proactively.
- Engage in hands-on prototyping, testing, and validation of designs to ensure performance and quality meet requirements.
- Collaborate with offshore teams and provide assistance to peers, fostering a supportive and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, CREO, or NX) and a strong foundation in product design principles.
- Proven ability to manage projects effectively, with preference given to candidates experienced in gated New Product Development (NPD) processes.
- Practical mindset and enthusiasm for hands-on problem-solving, prototyping, and building.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead project teams and facilitate design review meetings.
