ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion development & integration of Hansen’s product vision and business practices into Hansen’s project management process.
- Deliver new products & enhancements for industrial & commercial refrigeration systems including valves, sensors & controls (level, gas, pressure, flow, temperature etc).
- Understand customer needs, application complexities & trends to help develop product and technology roadmaps that are in synch with Hansen goals.
- Lead product design projects through Hansen specific new product development process with focus on voice of customer, risks management via DFMEA, sound design validation and operations hand-off relative to PFMEA, control plan, PPAP and supplier readiness.
- Manage project/programs by defining plan/schedule, budgets, critical milestones and executing against the same by driving focused activity across cross functional teams.
- Coach/train key engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain personnel relative to cross functional deliverables as it relates to the structured New Product Development tollgate process.
- Collaborate, communicate, and establish consensus across Hansen including Burr Ridge team, Commerce team, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely and effective completion of objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility with a successful track record of delivering new products & product improvements. Emphasis on electro-mechanical products involving valves, controls, sensors, refrigeration with exposure to broad range of manufacturing processes s/a machining, castings, forgings, PCB layout/manufacturing, software development, packaging and more.
- Demonstrated experience with Design for Reliability while balancing risks, needs & opportunities.
- DFMEA, DVP&R and NPD Stage Gate processes relative to implementing via training/coaching & executing projects with results.
- Demonstrated project/program management with emphasis on tools s/a Gantt Charts, critical path management, KTM’s, budgets etc. while successfully delivering projects on time & against all financials (GM, BOM cost etc.).
- Experience leading discussions and influencing customers and cross functional teams towards problem solving, requirements gathering and onsite troubleshooting.
- Experience with regulatory standards with track record of releasing compliant products for UL, CE, TUV, CRN, PED etc.
- Hands on experience with computational tools (FEA, CFD), MS Office (Project, Power Point, Excel, Word).

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Some overtime is expected.
