- Woodworking Machinery and Systems: machinery for the woodworking
We are a growing organization, and we are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Paint and Final Assembly Systems division. Together, with the momentum of our business vision, we can achieve international success and added innovation in all of the themes which Dürr influences at a global level.
Position Summary: Designs and engineers Paint Finishing Systems in the automotive and non-automotive industry.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Interpret schematics to develop complete system designs
- Maintain project schedules
- Interpret and have design input into mechanical drawings
- Selection of purchased equipment
- Development of subcontract bid package documentation
- Manage budgets for purchased equipment
- Supervision of subcontract engineering and design engineers (CAD)
- Responsible for complete system design, analysis, and engineering calculation
- Attend and/or conduct design reviews
- Support on-site installation and commissioning crew as required
- Perform site verification and field checking as required
- Attend customer meetings to understand project requirements
- Communicate with project team, customers, and suppliers
- Understand, diagnose, and solve real or potential design problems
- Travel approximately 20%

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5 years of position related experience
- Design engineering calculation ability
- Able to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Ability to understand and maintain project schedules
- Good time management skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good technical writing skills
- Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers
- Able to work well independently and in a team environment
- Able to technically define problems and propose solutions
- Adaptable to change and adapt in a technical environment
- Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary
Physical Demands: While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision.
