The leader will drive results through strong project management, communication, and change management. They will develop strong relationships with stakeholder groups across Maximus. The leader will understand their circle of control and influence are broad and even the most challenging goals can be accomplished.
The leader's focus will be on project management and there will be an opportunity to support Quality and Risk Management (QRM) and employee engagement as well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ownership of identifying and engaging stakeholders.
- Development of Project Charter.
- Development and management of project management plans (project, communications, training, change management, stakeholder, risks and issues).
- Ownership of timeliness, quality, and budget for projects; if additional funding is required, must have strong rationale and explanation for change.
- Utilization of agile methodology both internally at Maximus and with external suppliers.
- Listen and empathize with different perspectives, build consensus, and achieve specific goals set.
- Establishment of executive sponsors and executive steering committee to support and make decisions on initiatives.
- Build Trainings for Finance and Accounting organization such as processes, systems and methodologies.
- Global Employee Engagement Survey (GEES) results and action plans.
- Continuously drive transformation for Maximus as a world-class company in support of CFO organization.
- Overseeing others in Project Manager role for successful execution of new and improved system and process implementations.
- Assessment of the goal each QRM activity is meant to accomplish and how well those goals are being met.
- Communication and presentations to team members up to and including executive levels across multiple stakeholder groups to influence endorsement and decision making.
- Identification and resolution of problems throughout the course of the implementation in support of key product and process owners.
- Establishment of executive sponsors and executive steering committee to support and make decisions on initiatives.
Project Responsibilities:
• Mastery in Project Management -
o Ownership of identifying and engaging stakeholders
o Development of Project Charter for significant new and improved systems and processes to enhance performance across the company
o Development and management of project management plans (project, communications, training, change management, stakeholder, risks and issues)
o Ownership of timeliness, quality, and budget for projects
o Utilization of agile methodology both internally at Maximus and with external suppliers
o Communication and presentations to team members up to and including executive levels across multiple stakeholder groups to influence endorsement and decision making
o Facilitation of meetings with the ability to listen and empathize with different perspectives, build consensus, and achieve specific goals set
o Management of vendor relationships from negotiations to accountability to meet the scope of work and company's needs
o Identification and resolution of problems throughout the course of the implementation in support of key product and process owners
o Establishment of executive sponsors and executive steering committee to support and make decisions on initiatives
• QRM -
o Assessment of the goal each QRM activity is meant to accomplish and how well those goals are being met
o Improved services to best achieve QRM goals (e.g., real time reporting of risks and mitigations)
• Employee Engagement -
o Onboarding of new hires to CFO organization with newly developed program by Human Resources
o Trainings for Finance and Accounting organization such as processes, systems and methodologies
o Global Employee Engagement Survey (GEES) results and action plans
o CFO organization-wide events
• Other Duties as Assigned -
o In support of CFO organization and company to continuously drive transformation for Maximus as a world-class company
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 10+ Years
Project Required Experience and Skills:
• 10+ years of project management experience including a financial system implementation
• 10+ years of collaborating effectively and influencing stakeholder groups across an organization such as Human Resources, Operations, Finance and Accounting, Contracts and Legal
• 10+ years of interpreting pain points and business requirements to develop improved future state processes and systems
• 7+ years of leadership/management experience
• 7+ years of change management experience
• Proven ability to achieve adoption and gain compliance with policies and procedures
• Commitment to driving change for continuous improvement
• Commitment to the learning and development of yourself and the organization

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
