BlueFox is seeking a charismatic, client-focused professional for the role of Project Designer. Project Designers at BlueFox have complete responsibility for project performance, customer satisfaction, and taking projects from design to completion.
This role will work with new and existing clients to create comprehensive design presentations, specifications, and project quotes in addition to coordinating the procurement, delivery, and installation of furniture systems to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:- Meet with existing and prospective customers, planning their space’s furniture needs, proposing the best design solution and closing the sale.
- Propose furniture selections to meet client’s functional, aesthetic and budgetary needs.
- Create presentations and lead design and specification conversations with clients.
- Develop project proposal, including specifications package, installation and corresponding quote.
- Maintain project schedule and ensure selections are completed and ordered on time.
- Produce project quote, place purchase orders, review order acknowledgements and track product shipping and arrival.
- Schedule and coordinate furniture installation with 3rd party installation companies.
- Maintain expertise in the furniture industry trends and product lines.
- Coordinate and build relationships with manufacturer and installation partners.
- Build long-term relationships with customers and business partners; particularly at senior decision-making levels across an organization.
- Travel as (25%) needed for client engagements and installation site visits.
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Facility Design, Communications, Finance/Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years work experience in contract furniture industry, construction, or interior design
- Experience in FFE design and specifications including:
- specification and layout of systems, ancillary furniture, demountable partitions, and contract furniture
- knowledge of construction processes from programming to delivery/installation
- workplace environment issues (e.g., ergonomics, technology integration, teaming, planning, facility need)
- building codes, ADA regulations, Electrical Code, etc.
- general knowledge in building practices (e.g., composition of partition types, material thickness of flooring, installation applications)
- Working knowledge in AutoCAD, CAP Studio, Configura CET, or Revit (CET and/or Revit preferred)
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, changing work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully coordinate efforts of internal/external resources.
