This Job:
Title: Project Delivery Manager
The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for driving program and project deliveries from conception to completion, working collaboratively within their own team of business analysts, quality analysts, and IT operations as well as with external constituencies including business intelligence and business unit leaders. He/she will champion business and IT process improvement throughout the organization and be a trusted ally for all business units. The Project Delivery Manager will estimate workload and logistics for projects, and train the team on best practices.
What You’ll Do:- Drive Project delivery from conception to completion.
- Coach and operate in Agile delivery methodology.
- Oversight requirement gathering process with strong insurance business acumen.
- Interface with key business stakeholders to prioritize, escalate, and manage expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement to process and technology to achieve optimal growth.
- Manage matrix resource capacity within American Integrity and vendors.
- Work collaboratively with QA, BA, Production Support, BI and IT Ops to achieve organizational goals and drive “win-win” results.
- Perform vendor management through each project initiatives.
- Accountable for delivering projects within the expected budget.
- Roadmap planning.
- Drive foundational change to achieve self-host and “self-sustainability”.
- Provide leadership to train the team on “detail estimates and detail planning”.
- Perform expert scope management to ensure timely delivery.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, mathematics, finance, statistics, business or related field.
Experience: At least five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive leadership responsibility, with substantial experience in project management within an IT department. Insurance or P&C experience preferred. PMP certification preferred.
Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of P&C Insurance Policy Admin development and maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge in the AGILE methodology.
- Proficient with project planning tools such as MS-Project.
- Extensive Agency and Consumer experience.
- Expert facilitation skills.
Skills:
- Ability to analyze situations and develop strategic recommendations.
- Analytical techniques and technical communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, including time management.
- Demonstrated skills or past achievement to obtain desired results.
- Demonstrated ability to learn additional software applications as required.
- Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise manner; gather information from multiple parties to ensure all perspectives are heard and considered; listen to others to respond effectively to ideas, thoughts and questions; express information and ideas effectively in settings including aligned or un-aligned feedback to obtain desired results.
Working Conditions: Normal business office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while constantly operating a computer and or other office productivity machinery such as a calculator or telephone. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery or communicate with coworkers. #LI-InOffice
