About the Job
We are seeking a Project Cost Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this hybrid role, you will have the flexibility of remote work with the expectation of being onsite one week per month in Providence, RI. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective project management by developing and maintaining project cost controls, supporting project managers, and contributing to overall project success.
Location: Remote with Onsite Requirement (One week per month in West Greenwich, RI). Candidates must reside in MA, RI, CN, NH, NY, and NJ. All other candidates will NOT be considered.
Responsibilities:
Develop and adhere to the Project Controls Plan.
Maintain project cost in the Cost Management Tool according to control account guidelines.
Provide project cost data and supporting documentation within the project controls systems of record.
Reconcile cost data from the local accounting system to the project controls system of record.
Support the Project Construction Manager with cost reporting, forecasting, and contract negotiations.
Develop reports on actuals, variances, trends, and re-forecast as necessary.
Ensure proper change management throughout project phases.
Develop and maintain detailed cash flow and commitment flow throughout project phases.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders in evaluating external costs and developing internal cost estimates.
Participate in the value engineering process.
Analyze change orders for cost impact and perform bid cost comparisons for proposal review teams.
Review and validate contractual compliance of project invoices.
Assist in financial project close-out and record project historical cost information and lessons learned.
Skills Required:
Understanding of cost control/management.
Familiarity with project planning and scheduling.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project controls, accounting, estimating, planning/scheduling, progress measurement, forecasting/reporting.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work largely self-directed and handle multiple priorities.
Knowledge of general practices, system automation, commissioning, qualification, and validation within the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry is advantageous.
Familiarity with general engineering practices, building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and craft trades.
