This is a Careers Pathway program- Candidate with assist with coordinating and co facilitating classes with providers, assist with guidance counseling enrollment.
Located in Springfield
Pay 27.00 per hour
Hours- Early Evening 12 - 7:30p Tuesday - Thursday
The BSEP program is a career pathway program designed to help high schools students (with a priority on residents of Springfield, MA)
pursue a career in health care. Currently, the program targets students in grades 9 -12, and a potential growing number of offerings for
undergraduate students.
This position will coordinate all developmental and educational aspects of Level I and Level II programming in the high school pathway
including summer workshop series. It will also include coordination of educational work experiences (paid, unpaid, grant funded, or
otherwise supported) developed by the BSEP program for students still in high school. It will also provide case management for students in
these programs. As it relates to student participants, this person will liaison with families and schools. Due to the scheduling of the
programming as an after school educational program, the position requires early evening hours during the program cycles that occur each year.
In support of these programs, this person will develop appropriate curriculum, instructional guides, and learning objectives. This person will also be responsible for recruitment, orientation, corresponding special events, data collection, and all communications related to program operations.
As available, this person will also work with BSEP Manager to support school partnerships and development of new programming for high school students.
Job Requirements:
Coordinate all grant educational work placements (e.g. WIOA contract) at client and/or program partners. Does not
include the BSEP Intern program for graduating seniors. Supervising from 5-20 students at any given time.
Coordinate all aspects of Level I and Level II career pathway programs for the BSEP high school programs (grades 9-12).
The person will build curriculum and courses to increase the integration of population-based health, public health, and project based learning into program courses.
Develop and execute the educational summer workshops programs.
