Program Summary
The Youth Outreach Adolescent Community Awareness Program (YOACAP), is a program partner of the Urban Affairs Coalition (UAC). Our agency’s mission is to enhance the quality of life and health for Philadelphians through community-based and culturally competent interventions. Since 1989, we have addressed health concerns, workforce development, and life skills in low-income, underserved communities. Today, our mission has expanded to help youth and young adults learn job readiness skills, academic achievement, and experience using technology.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator organizes, implements, and monitors programs and initiatives to ensure they meet the organization’s goals and objectives. This individual will work closely with staff, partners, and participants to deliver high-quality programs while ensuring effective communication and efficient resource management.
- Program Planning and Implementation
- Assist in designing and developing program goals, objectives, and deliverables.
- Coordinate logistics, schedules, and resources to ensure smooth program operations.
- Oversee program activities' implementation and adhere to timelines and budgets.
- Participant Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants, addressing inquiries and providing support.
- Facilitate registration, onboarding, and engagement processes for program participants.
- Conduct surveys and collect feedback to evaluate participant satisfaction and program impact.
- Administrative Support
- Oversee Data Entry Staff to ensure data related to program activities and participants are entered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare program materials, such as guides, handouts, and presentations.
- Track and report on program progress, identifying areas for improvement.
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Support monitoring program performance to ensure objectives are met and aligned with organizational standards.
- Gather and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of programs and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Prepare detailed reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholders.
- Marketing and Event Coordination
- Oversee Social Media Specialist for effective implementation of agency marketing strategy.
- Plan and execute program-related events, workshops, and meetings.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and technology needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., social work, education, business administration, or nonprofit management).
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in program coordination, project management, or a related role.
- Experience in a nonprofit, community-based, or mission-driven organization is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and database management systems.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
