Description: InterAgency is seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our growing municipal permitting practice. The successful candidate will work on construction and transportation right-of-way permitting for major infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for interfacing between Client Project Managers and third-party regulators to proactively address permitting needs and resolve permitting-related issues. Candidate must be self-motivated, organized, and able to communicate information clearly and in a timely manner between multiple project stakeholders.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Education Level: Associate degree in engineering, Data Science, Planning, or Economics, Construction Management.
- Experience: 2 years in a detail-oriented work environment.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Planning, Economics and Construction Management.
- Experience managing large datasets in Excel or other database management software. (i.e. PowerBI, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SharePoint)
Responsibilities:
Projects will range from preliminary planning to implementation. Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Recording data into SharePoint Dashboards.
- Review of Civil Site Plans.
- Review of Traffic Control Plans. (TCPs)
- Applying for DDOT Construction/Excavation Permits through the TOPS database.
- Applying for DOEE Approvals through the Storm and Groundwater System database.
- Applying for DOB Permits through SCOUT and ProjectDox database.
- Tracking all permit applications, and reporting up to senior management.
- Tracking permit review comments.
- Attending regular meetings and documenting meeting notes.
- Coordinating with local government regulators.
- Facilitating clear communication between the project team and external parties.
- Using analytics for process improvements.
- Accurate and detailed daily timekeeping is required.
- Timely communication with clients during regular business hours (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) when on-site and off-site.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation.
- Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Employment Conditions:
- Type: Full-time employment.
- Hybrid work arrangement: Three (3) days at Client’s facility in Washington, DC 20032. Two (2) days of remote work per week. This schedule is subject to change at the request of the Client.
- Hours: regular business hours, 8:00 am to 5:00 PM (EST), for both on-site and off-site, unless otherwise specified by the Client.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary commensurate with experience.
- Salary Range: $ 45,000 - $65,000 /year.
