EMPLOYMENT POSITION: Project Coordinator: Resilience Hub Retrofits
Description: The United Houma Nation (UHN) is hiring twos full-time project coordinators to coordinate Phases One and Two of the UHN Hazard Mitigation and Resilience Plan. These two phases will include retrofitting existing buildings based on plans developed in collaboration with community residents and implementing programming within those buildings. Responsibilities will be to shepherd the project, including coordinating the steering committee for each parish (there will be one for each); managing the consulting firm(s) conducting the design and implementation of facility improvements; and implementing programming after completion of improvements. The Project Coordinators will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, tracking progress, measuring performance, maintaining comprehensive program documentation, and support reporting on the efforts in line with federal funding requirements. The program coordinator will report to the Program Manager for all project reporting and management requirements.
Required Qualifications:
• Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, administration, or construction management or relevant equivalent training and/or five years of relevant experience.
• Experience coordinating teams of stakeholders in pursuit of projects and specific deliverables
• Experience designing and implementing stakeholder engagement
• Ability to meet deadlines while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in a variety of computer applications including MS Office and MS Excel
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Acceptable Criminal Records check and Child Abuse Registry check
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience preparing, following, and reporting on federal funding grant budgets
• Experience overseeing construction projects or navigating related efforts such as environmental compliance
• Master’s degree in business management or relevant equivalent training and/or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in team coordination software
• Knowledge of UHN culture, programs, and services
• Program Management Certification such as PgMP, PMP, or CAPM
