Job Title: Project Coordinator
Location: Abbott Park, IL – 100% Remote Role
Period: 04/15/2024 to 12/31/2024 - possibility for extensions depending on business needs and candidate performance Hours/Week: 40 hours
Rate: $45-$50/hour (Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half)
Contract Type: W-2
Scope of Services:
The Project Coordinator will contribute to the successful implementation of the company's products and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excel at managing project timelines and resources, and demonstrate the ability to hold project team members accountable for deliverables. While experience in the medical device industry is not mandatory, candidates with regulatory experience in med device will be given preference. This role is focused on coordination rather than direct program or project management.
Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:
- Manage the development and implementation process of company products and services, collaborating with departmental or cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Estimate project levels of effort and resource requirements, utilizing standard estimating techniques and tools, and working closely with appropriate staff to understand project scope.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to define project tasks.
- Direct project execution by assigning tasks, monitoring project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans as needed.
- Ensure project quality by adhering to standard development methodologies and collaborating with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to develop and execute project quality plans.
- Communicate project status through the preparation of standard status reports and participation in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
- Resolve project issues by collaborating with team members, project customers, and other stakeholders as required.
- Consult with internal project groups, sharing project management knowledge and providing mentorship to junior project leaders in project management processes and techniques.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of related work experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of specified functional areas, or Master's degree with 0-2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Proficiency in technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to the role.
- General understanding of business unit/group function and experience working in a quality system environment.
- Ability to analyze problems of moderate scope and exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Broad knowledge of technical alternatives and understanding of their impact on the systems environment.
