Typical Day
This resource will be part of the CETS (Customer Energy and Transportation Services) group. This group installs EV (electric vehicle) infrastructure for various customers within Xcel Energy''s territory. The vision for this role is that this person would assist the project managers in developing better schedules, more cohesive tracking of the various projects that are going through this pipeline; updating KPI''s and other visual data management that right now is falling to the manager or coordinator that have other duties. The goal with this role would be to have somebody that''s able to manage more of the data side behind all the products. We have around 150 ongoing projects at any given time, so it''s a lot of tracking work around that. There will be some administrative work that needs to get done that they could pitch in on, but that tracking and (more or less) controls of the process is what I''m looking for. Typically, we see these roles in the cost or scheduling side with the need for P6/Primavera experience. This role is closer to the scheduling side of things, however, will not utilize P6.
This resource would be working with data and operating through Salesforce; Developing the schedules, getting with the various stakeholders that are responsible for the steps of those processes and ushering it through the data side because while the project managers are more focused on the execution of the work. We would imagine it would consist of a lot of running reports and various systems comparing them to each other. Monitoring what we''re running behind and then following up to keep those people on track. Working with the stakeholders to find out where the downfalls/shortcomings are and then working with the PM’s to execute any changes.
