We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Controls Specialist to join our team. You will be playing a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and delivery of our projects. Responsibilities will include updates to the master schedule as well as cost control and budget tracking.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Controls Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing project schedules using Primavera P6 software, ensuring all activities align with the master schedule and project objectives.
- Implementing cost control measures and managing project budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
- Creating and maintaining baseline schedules, and adjusting as necessary to reflect changes in project scope or timeline.
- Preparing accurate project estimates and forecasts, and analyzing any variances to the budget.
- Providing regular updates to project stakeholders, including progress reports, cost reports, and schedule updates.
- Identifying potential risks or delays and implementing mitigation strategies to maintain project schedule and budget.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.
- Participating in project meetings and providing input on schedule and cost-related matters.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in project controls, scheduling, or a related field in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project management software.
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle, from initial planning to final delivery.
- Excellent skills in cost control, budget management, and financial forecasting.
- Proven ability to develop and manage master schedules and baseline schedules.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to project stakeholders.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
