This position will be based in our Rochester office with the expectation of working from the client's office 3-4 days per week.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of project controls best practices and process improvement to ensure department-wide consistency, enhance communication and improve client satisfaction.
- In a Scheduling capacity, develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and resources and cost-loaded CPM schedules and Work Breakdown Structures using Primavera P6. Monitor, assess and report progress and impacts to the critical path. Prepare schedule reports and other analytics as required.
- Participate in corporate and /or program-wide processes and/or quality improvement initiatives including but not limited to efforts in: P6/Contract Manager System and Change Management Process.
- Analyze cost and schedule information to generate timely reports that speak to issues regarding: project controls, project planning, scheduling and budgeting, commitment analysis, change order processing, forecasting, trends and estimating in support of electrical transmission and distribution or other large construction projects.
- Respond to cost or schedule data requests from internal or external organizations.
- Consult with customers and attend status meetings.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient at scheduling, monitoring, controlling and updating project schedules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs
- Preferred: 3 years of experience preparing & developing project schedules; 2 years of experience Primavera P6 scheduling.
