Job Description:
Our client, an insurance company located in Dedham, MA is seeking a Project Assistant to support administrative and clerical tasks within their team. This position involves working through a backlog of mail, providing support to customer services, conducting research, and drafting professional emails to agents and underwriters. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. This role is compensating $23/hour and will consist of a Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm schedule. This role is slated to be a 3 month contract with the potential to extend or convert for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage mail, working through a backlog to support customer services.
- Follow instructions and SOPs to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct research to gather necessary information for projects and tasks.
- Communicate professionally with agents and underwriters via email.
- Assist with various administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in client support or administrative roles.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Ability to multitask and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in professional writing, especially for email communication.
- Self-awareness and the ability to ask questions when necessary.
- Experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance is a plus, but not required.
Preferred Skills/Traits:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established processes.
- Strong research skills and ability to synthesize information.
- Professional writing skills for effective communication with agents and underwriting teams.
- Ability to work independently and ask questions when clarification is needed.
Additional Information:
- The position is temporary, with a duration that could range from 3 months to 1 year.
- There is potential for the role to transition into a permanent position.
