Salt Lake City, UT 84101
About the Job
MHTN Architects is looking for a licensed Project Architect who is seeking a fulfilling and well-rounded career leading holistic design discussions throughout a project’s life cycle within various markets and project typologies. As a Project Architect you will guide projects and fellow team members through all phases of the design process by working collaboratively to ensure exceptional quality and service to your clients during schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and into construction administration. You will participate in charrettes with stakeholders, lead parti’s and pin-ups with team members, and help to tell design stories that will continuously inform new project design innovations.
As a Project Architect you will work to solve design problems and present innovative solutions to your clients by collaborating with and delegating to other architectural experts, landscape architects, interior designers, and planners. You will be crucial in promoting socially and environmentally responsible design practices through respectful and informed discussions with your clients. You will feel comfortable making informed decisions in evaluation, selection, and use of standard architectural techniques and problem solving while working within budget and schedule to meet project scope and deadlines. You will set an example for excellent communication by clearly presenting well-organized information to team members and to clients as you reach design consensus and organize project and document production in collaboration with Project Managers.
Your proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe, and communication systems, like Microsoft Teams, will allow you to seamlessly execute your responsibilities. As a licensed architect, you have a mastery of building and accessibility codes and regulatory standards and a firm understanding of engineering systems, equipment, technology requirements and detailing, and how they relate to construction. With your solid foundation of knowledge in architecture, this opportunity will allow you to grow in new directions, guided by your personal passions and supported by a forward-thinking firm.
As you engage in paid professional development opportunities for yourself, and support others in their own personal empowerment, you’ll know that mentoring is a two-way street. You’ll look forward to sharing your expertise through individual mentoring and through participation in internal technical excellence seminars and sustainability discussions. As a Project Architect, you will have the opportunity to follow your passions and collaborate with enthusiastic team members with a variety of expertise.
