Lawrence Group’s New York office is seeking an experienced Project Architect with 7 years of architectural design experience related to retail and roll-out design work in a professional office environment to join our New York Design Studio. Architectural licensure is preferred. The office is a boutique design office with around 10 architects and designers with a focus on design forward projects ranging from Hospitality, Health and Wellness, and Retail.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, project management, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects in both retail and hospitality sectors. They will play a key role in leading projects and ensuring the successful execution of projects from concept through completion.
The key responsibilities include:
- Lead the design and development of numerous roll-out projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with large scale roll-out processes
- Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, requirements, and brand identity, and translate them into innovative design solutions that exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and consultants, to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits, assessments, and analysis to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare and present design concepts, drawings, renderings, and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and bid packages, and coordinate with contractors and vendors during the construction phase.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, and proactively identify and address any issues or risks that may impact project outcomes.
- Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of architectural processes and practices.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to hospitality design, sustainability, and building performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Architect with 7 years of experience in design and architecture preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering retail, medtail and roll-out projects from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
- Strong design sensibility and a portfolio showcasing innovative and creative hospitality projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, consultants, and project teams.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading project teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards related to retail, medtail, and roll-out on a national scale design.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and analytically.
- LEED accreditation and/or other relevant certifications are a plus.
