About the Job
INC is seeking a full-time Architect (licensed preferred) with 6-10 years of professional experience and at least a B. Arch with strong technical skills and exceptional organizational skills. Applicants should have experience in filing documentation, high-end design or hospitality experience, and Contract Administration experience. Applicants should also be able to work independently with a wide range of consultants under the supervision of one or more Partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate Concept Presentation Development
- Responsible for specific technical design aspects of projects including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions and can independently make decisions on design problems and methods.
- Supervised client interaction
- Schematic blocking and planning
- Building Information Model Management (Revit)
- Consultant coordination and management
- Contract Document management and production
- Specifications management and production
- Executes and manages regulatory filing paperwork and has experience managing expediters and other codes consultants.
- Production and management of bidding and pricing documentation and negotiations
- Understands and implements research and code review;
- Contract Administration: submittals, requests for information, site meetings, and field reports.
- Supervises work of 1-3 junior staff
- Responsible for 2-3 simultaneous projects at different phases of development.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters of Architecture from a NAAB accredited institution.
- 6 years professional experience
- At least 4 years of professional Revit experience. Please show Revit work at both design and documentation level.
- Candidates must be legally allowed to work in the US
The salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $115,000 and is dependent upon job-related education, licensure, knowledge, and experience. Taxes will be withheld from salary as per the requirements of the IRS and New York State.
