Our firm is on the hunt for a skilled and innovative Project Architect to join our dynamic team. This position is perfect for an individual with a passion for architectural design and Landscape Architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with project managers and team members to ensure that all plans and blueprints align with client expectations and industry standards. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with project teams to develop and refine Landscape architectural designs.
2. Utilize SketchUp and other design software to create 3D models and renderings.
3. Lead the design development phase, ensuring that all designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and compliant with all applicable regulations and standards.
4. Prepare and present design proposals to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
5. Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Review and approve project plans and specifications, making modifications as needed.
7. Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure alignment with design plans.
8. Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
9. Maintain detailed project documentation, including changes in design and updates to project schedules and budgets.
10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in architectural design and construction technology.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on Landscape Architecture.
3. Proficiency in SketchUp and other design software.
4. Strong knowledge of design development and architectural project management.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex design ideas.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges.
7. Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
8. Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Familiarity with building codes, standards, and regulations.
10. Licensed as an Architect is preferred.
11. LEED Accreditation is a plus.
