What you will be doing:
Lead in-house design team through the development of design and construction documentation process.
Provide Project Architect support as part of a larger project team on larger projects.
Develop and coordinate with consultants to produce construction documents.
Oversee code compliance with applicable codes, standards, and guidelines.
Inform, direct, and train interns relative to these.
Develop and coordinate technical specifications.
Coordinate with Project Manager, Construction Manager, Client, and/or government agency relative to front-end specification documents.
Adhere to and implement corporate contract documentation procedures and standards as they best apply.
Be responsible for all aspects of construction administration including but not limited to shop drawing/submittal review and coordination, attending project meetings, periodic monitoring of construction sites, interfacing with contractors and clients.
Support project management with the development of staffing, fee, budget estimating, and project scheduling.
Ensure that Quality Control procedures are being met.
Supervise small technical staff.
Experience you will need:
At least 5 years of experience as a Licensed Architect.
Must have a Licensure Requirements: Licensed Architect NYS.
Experience in K-12 and higher educational institutions is a MUST.
Minimum of 3 years of Revit experience.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Revit and other design/presentation software programs; MS Office; use of Adobe products; Submittal Exchange.
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Architecture.
