About the Job
L.J Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Project Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity with our client based in New York, NY. In this role you will be responsible for the advanced support of Capital Projects.
Office Activities include but not limited to:
- Review, comment and draft responses to RFI's
- Review and track shop drawings, submittals
- Schedule and coordinate field visits
- Coordinate between different divisions/department users
- Contractor payment processing, review and update monthly project status reports and information in project management software
- Coordinate and schedule pre-final/final inspections
- Act as liaison for PCEO/CM office requesting operating and maintenance departments' support services
Field Assignments include but limited to:
- Performing inspections to ensure that the contract requirements are met
- Attending job progress meeting or other meetings as assigned
- Scheduling and coordinate field visits and inspections
- Verifying quality of workmanship and materials
- Verifying compliance with plans, specifications, estimates, applicable codes, and regulations with emphasis on quality and safety
- Assisting PCEO/Construction Manager of his designee in evaluating change order proposals, reviewing contractor submittals, and preparing mandatory daily reports
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or Architecture
- Minimum 5 years' project management, contractual or engineering support work
- Experience in reading, reviewing and interpreting Contract drawings and specifications
- Posses strong business administration skills (report and letter writing, time management)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving decision-making skills
- Proficient in MS Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- OSHA 30 Certification
