Geosyntec has an immediately available opportunity for a Project Accounting Analyst. In this role you will perform corporate project systems analysis, ensure accurate labor and expense charges are processed in a timely manner, support the Senior Manager of Project Accounting, and provide technical support to Branch Operations. This position will preferably sit in our Corporate office in Boca Raton, Florida. The option to work from another office location or a hybrid or remote work schedule may be available at the Company’s discretion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Project Accounting Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating, maintaining and implementing policies and procedures as they relate to project accounting;
- Ensure Branch and Corporate compliance with project accounting policies and procedures;
- Ensure accuracy of the project and financial systems;
- Assist with testing of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software updates;
- Assist with troubleshooting and implementation of new systems;
- Review, analyze and approve weekly and month end adjustments;
- Assist branch operations with minimizing aged, unbilled charges;
- Perform monthly revenue review;
- Assist with the annual audit; and
- Review and analyze the weekly and monthly Employee Productivity Report (EPR).
Project Administration Support Responsibilities:
- Provide support for project administration inquiries;
- Provide back-up project administration support for start up operations;
- Assist with project accounting and financial management training for Project Administrators; and
- Review and analyze project setup procedures and assist branch operations with revenue and cost allocations and calculations; and
- Perform special projects and related work as required.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:- High School diploma and five (5) years of experience in accounting, coordinating project maintenance and invoicing processes for a professional services firm, preferably in an engineering firm environment, an associate degree and three (3) years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience. (required)
- Knowledge of project job costing, contract files administration, and financial analysis. (required)
- Experience with Microsoft Office and accounting software applications and other data entry processes. (required)
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in individual or group. (required)
- Ability to respond timely and effectively to internal and external inquiries. (required)
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence that are organized, clearly presented, and concise. (required)
- Ability to interact professionally and maintain cooperative professional relationships with management and colleagues. (required)
- Ability to add, subtract and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. (required)
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages. (required)
