We are seeking an Accountant with expertise in both construction project accounting and corporate finance. This role serves as a vital link between corporate accounting and project operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, managing subcontractor administration and compliance, and supporting ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and process subcontract documents.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance, including insurance, lien waivers, and other requirements.
- Process subcontractor change orders and amendments.
- Coordinate budget recording with project teams.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of revenue and costs.
- Assist in month-end close and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Prepare AIA billings and reconcile payments.
- Record daily/monthly accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
- Manage weekly payments to subcontractors and vendors, filing all appropriate documentation.
- Support year-end audits.
- Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries for general ledger and cash management.
- Conduct ad-hoc research and reporting for project and corporate financials.
- Process invoices and manage purchase orders in a paperless system.
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- 2+ years of corporate or project accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative and work under pressure
