Role: Project Accountant (Development Accountant)
Location: Washington D.C.
Office Schedule: in office 3x a week
Salary: $75000 - $80000 / year
Our client, a rapidly growing real-estate development firm with focus on affordable housing is looking for a Project Accountant with 2-3 years of accounting experience, out real estate industry. Lots of growth potential and great culture!
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting (or related field)
- 2-3 years of Project/ Development Accounting experience
- Advanced Excel
Strongly Preferred
- Experience utilizing Yardi
- Experience working out of Construction or Multifamily Property management
Job Description:
- Execute the general accounting functions related to assigned development entities, which includes inter-company accounting, cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting, balance sheet management, A/P, A/R, creation of workpapers, bank reconciliations, and credit card activity
- Primarily responsible for maintaining the financial activity of assigned` development entities/projects
- To ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to external parties, internal management and other stakeholders
