Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in the construction/contractor industry in Seattle, Washington. We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team. This role involves maintaining accurate project and customer records, resolving inquiries, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy and balance of job cost reports and accounts receivable reports in line with the general ledger.
- Classify information in the project cost system in a way that facilitates its use.
- Enter financial paperwork into the accounting system for timely and accurate job cost information.
- Process miscellaneous and blanket purchase order invoices promptly and ensure supporting paperwork is attached, correct, and approved.
- Collaborate with key personnel to process monthly billings to owners and run projected final cost reports.
- Process subcontractor monthly pay requisitions and ensure all supporting attachments are correct.
- Maintain a subcontractor/vendor purchasing register and verify all subcontractors have current insurance certificates.
- Implement and maintain a filing system in accordance with company guidelines.
- Establish and maintain files required for company Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Minority Business Entity (MBE) requirements.
- Perform various administrative tasks for the jobsite including handling mail, establishing new supplier accounts, purchasing office supplies, preparing payroll, answering telephones, filing, etc.
- Build effective relationships with customers, the design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meet or exceed the customer's expectations.
The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $85,000.

Requirements - Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
- Must possess the ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential
- In-depth knowledge of the General Ledger is necessary
- Familiarity with Journal Entries is a must
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required
- Must have experience with Month End Close
- Proficiency in using NetSuite is expected
- Knowledge of Oracle is required
- SAP expertise is necessary
- Experience in Project Accounting is essential
- Familiarity with the Construction Industry is a must
- Must possess Job Cost skills and knowledge
