Project Accountant - Temp to Perm Opportunity

About the Role:
Addison Group is hiring Project Accountants for our client, a dynamic and innovative organization recognized for delivering exceptional brand experiences. These are temp-to-perm roles, with potential for direct hire based on performance.
Position Details:
- Pay Rate: $29-$35/hour (Temp)
- Schedule: Hybrid - remote on Mondays and Fridays, in-office Tuesday through Thursday
- Work Environment: Business casual, with parking available on-site
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end closing activities, including timely project account reconciliations
- Oversee project costing and revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with company standards
- Utilize cost tracking systems to review and monitor expenses against sales agreements
- Prepare and verify client billing, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project deliverables
- Collaborate with Account Executives to finalize project costs and provide detailed reports
- Assist in financial audits by compiling project-related documentation as needed
- Work with internal teams (HR, Finance, IT) to maintain smooth processes and controls
- Contribute to budget analysis and quarterly/annual financial planning efforts
- Develop and improve knowledge of business systems to enhance automation and accuracy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
- Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience (Required)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles (Required)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups) (Required)
- Experience with project or construction accounting (Preferred)
- Familiarity with NetSuite software (Preferred)
