Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparation and oversight of construction accounting
- Responsibilities include budgets, draws, metrics, reconciliations, reporting, and AP for simultaneous construction projects
- Act as main point of contact for internal development team on institutional accounting and review of all draw packages for accounting team and communicate with PM team regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and additional services-related to billing
- Responsible for oversight of project tracking and follow-up
- Prepare and record closing draws, equity installments and loan conversions
- Prepare and distribute monthly draft draw packages containing
- Assist with coordinating and presenting project & financial reporting to internal and external parties
- Maintain and review lien waivers and stored materials waivers
- Maintain and track project control budgets and prepare variance reports
- Maintain billing folders for assigned projects and research and resolve unbilled issues
- P&L analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with annual external financial audit
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related area of study preferred
- 3+ years related professional experience
- Construction industry experience required
- Prior experience in full month end close process
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with software including Sage Intacct, ProCore and Northspyre preferred
