Summary: Our client, a large property management organization, is looking for a Project Accountant to join their team. This role will maintain construction records (GAAP and IRS methods), draws, AP/AR, billing, reconciliations, and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and others.
Pay - $60k to $73K depending on experience
Hours – Monday – Friday - 8am to 5pm, onsite initially but will flex to hybrid schedule after training period working 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Responsibilities:
- Support project accounting processes, including setup, tracking, and reconciliation of the draw cycle.
- Reconcile project cost data with the general ledger and accounts payable records.
- Prepare and process draw requests, including related documentation and reconciliations.
- Monitor sourcing and expenses throughout the draw process.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely draw cycle completion.
- Manage accounts receivable details associated with the draw cycle.
- Oversee accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of valid invoices.
- Organize and code invoices for payment, ensuring proper account assignments.
- Review payment schedules to comply with company procedures.
- Issue payments according to department timelines.
- Monitor invoices for applicable taxes and maintain detailed records of paid invoices.
- Manage vendor information, including new vendor setup, payment terms, and Form 1099 data.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and assist with updating financial reports, including variance and job cost analyses.
- Maintain lien waivers and related documentation.
- Provide support for external audit requests and other financial inquiries.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting software (experience with Sage or RealPage is a plus).
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
