Major Position Responsibilities:
This position will be located at the new GD-OTS facility located in Mesquite, TX.
SUMMARY: Plans, monitors and manages internal programs from initiation through completion. Leads or coordinates programs, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, troubleshooting and indirect people management. Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions. Responsibilities are within the Project Management Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Has P&L responsibilities for a specific program
- Implements and administers one or more corporate programs, typically consisting of multiple programs or sub-programs.
- Executes programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers.
- Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance.
- Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks utilization.
- Supervises the work of program or project staff to ensure that work in completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications.
- Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
- Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
IMPACT OF THE ROLE:
- Manages a large-scale organizational program or process with multiple internal and external system application integration, system migrations, hardware and/or architecture redesigns
- Impact is on the entire project and Business Unit/function
Basic Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education and/or Experience
- 8-10 years prior experience in a similar position
- Preferred: Master's Degree. Business degree preferred.

Preferred
- Experience with start ups, such as project planning, and establishing business processes, management systems, and work instructions is desired. This is an exciting opportunity to create the business processes, systems, and culture to stand up a high performing manufacturing operation.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS Facilities.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Travel Requirements
- Less than 25% travel likely.
