Position: Programmer/Estimator - Metal Fabrication Operation
We are seeking a skilled Programmer/Estimator to join our dynamic team in our Metal Fabrication Operation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in programming bend sequence flat layouts, turret punches, and lasers. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing quotes and estimations for customer-designed products and modifications of existing designs.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit initial quotations and job costing for customer-specified products and stock production schedules.
- Obtain quotes from third parties for production items as required.
- Attend both company and customer production meetings as necessary.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints by developing effective solutions.
- Identify and address potential challenges within the production process, providing innovative problem-solving solutions.
- Offer expert technical advice to customers.
- Conduct job site walk-throughs and site visits to analyze special job needs and requirements.
- Participate in periodic audit reviews to identify and document areas for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a metal fabrication setting.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of metal fabrication and production techniques, including the ability to read drawings and schematics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professionalism, integrity, and a positive demeanor in representing the company.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Leadership aptitude preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts.
- Familiarity with Trumpf equipment and CAD software preferred.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour ($66, 500 annually)
- Expected Hours: 40 per week
