About the Job
L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Programmer.
- Work with end users to review/analyze existing systems, reports and documentation.
- Participate in business user and stakeholder meetings for requirement gathering sessions.
- Develop, write, and maintain system requirement documents and assist with use case development when required
- Interact with NYSP, ITS and vendor staff as necessary to determine and implement functional and technical requirements
- Design and develop system functionality per specifications
- Analyze, design, develop and document technical solutions utilizing Niche RMS, HTML, XML, XAML, CSS, XSLT, and SQL queries. This will include creating report designs, data mapping documents and configuration changes.
- Within the NICHE RMS, design, develop and update templates, queries, XSLT reports and data extract files such as Incident Based Reporting (IBR) for use in other systems.
- Perform table updates within the Niche RMS utilizing Niche system tools.
- Participate in the development and updating of test cases/scripts.
- Execute tests and record results using various testing tools. This will also include recording and tracking of defects.
- Provide knowledge transfer to state staff in order to implement and support technical solutions.
- 3 years of programming experience using Microsoft .NET.
- 3 years of experience developing Java applications CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).
- 3 years of experience in SQL Server and/or Oracle database querying and database design.
- 3 years of experience with XML (eXtensible Markup Language), XAML(eXtensible Application Markup Language) and XSLT, (eXtensible Stylesheet Language Transformations).
- 5 years of development experience creating and executing complex SQL queries.
- 5 years of experience in obtaining and writing technical documents, reviewing user and functional requirements and creating proof of concept reports.
- 3 years of system design experience.
- 3 years of experience supporting user applications and working with clients to identify system issues and improvements for functionality.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Natural Sciences, or related field.
