This is a full-time HYBRID work position in Los Angeles with the chance to work remotely from our office space in Hawaii for up to two weeks a year. Who You Are
We are seeking a highly motivated Programmatic Media Specialist with a strong understanding of programmatic advertising and media buying to manage and optimize campaigns across multiple Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs). In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end process of programmatic media buying, leveraging your expertise to create strategic campaigns, optimize performance, and provide actionable insights.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about staying ahead of trends in the digital advertising landscape. You’ll work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure campaigns deliver on objectives, exceed performance benchmarks, and drive real business outcomes.
What You'll Do
Campaign Strategy & Planning:
- Collaborate with account management and strategy teams to develop tailored programmatic media plans aligned with client goals and KPIs.
- Research and identify target audience segments using first- and third-party data to inform campaign strategy.
- Create detailed media plans, including budget allocation, bidding strategies, and platform selection, to achieve client objectives.
Campaign Management & Execution:
- Set up, launch, and manage programmatic campaigns across leading DSPs such as The Trade Desk, DV360, Meta Ads Manager, or similar platforms.
- Traffic creative assets, implement tracking pixels, and ensure accurate audience targeting for seamless campaign execution.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance (QA) checks to validate campaign setup and confirm compliance with platform and client specifications.
Optimization & Performance Management:
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, including impressions, clicks, CTR, CPM, CPA, ROAS, and more, to ensure optimal results.
- Implement real-time optimization strategies, such as bid adjustments, targeting refinements, and creative rotations, to improve campaign performance.
- Conduct A/B testing to evaluate strategies and identify new opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot issues such as under-delivery, pacing discrepancies, and tracking errors, ensuring smooth campaign execution.
Insights & Reporting:
- Prepare detailed performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations for future campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor strategies, and new developments in programmatic advertising to inform strategic decision-making.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Serve as a programmatic subject matter expert, providing guidance to clients and internal teams on best practices and strategies.
- Collaborate with creative teams to align ad formats and designs with campaign objectives and platform requirements.
- Build strong relationships with platform representatives to leverage tools, troubleshoot issues, and stay informed about new features.
Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting:
- Troubleshoot technical issues such as incorrect tracking, tag discrepancies, and platform errors, ensuring seamless campaign delivery.
- Use technical skills to debug ad tags and resolve creative or tracking issues.
- Stay updated on ad verification tools like IAS and DoubleVerify to monitor viewability, brand safety, and fraud prevention.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in programmatic media buying, ad operations, or related fields.
- Proficiency in managing campaigns on DSPs such as The Trade Desk, DV360, Meta Ad Manager, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of key programmatic concepts, including RTB, audience targeting, frequency management, and viewability metrics.
- Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, DCM) and ad verification platforms (e.g., IAS, MOAT, DoubleVerify).
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present strategies and results to clients and teams.
What We Offer
Salary: $55k-$65k depending on experience.
