How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region:
The Program Technical Specialist (Advanced Administrative Specialist) provides advanced administrative and technical support as well as customer service for the Sewer Availability Charge (SAC) unit of the Metropolitan Council's Environmental Services Finance office with limited supervision. This position requires high attention to detail with administrative/technical duties to include review building plan submittals for completeness and accuracy, electronic filing, complex database work, SAC determination charge and credit estimates, and property and SAC information research. Customer service includes answering non-routine verbal and electronic inquiries regarding: the program, status of SAC determinations in process and submittal process, and helping applicants understand the rationale for the fee, community outreach and electronic communications and website updates.
The preferred work schedule is Monday-Friday within the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The position is eligible for full time benefits including a hybrid onsite/telework arrangement. Onsite work will be required at Met Council facilities.
