Overview:TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

TRC Advanced Energy created a Workforce Development program to strengthen our connection to the local community and create enhanced employment opportunities for individuals desiring to enter the clean energy workforce.
TRC is seeking an energetic Program Outreach Apprentice for a 14-week, paid Workforce Development program. As a Program Outreach Apprentice,you will learn the skills necessary to effectively communicate with the public regarding energy efficiency including the specific program offerings provided to our client. By the end of the program, you will have the understanding needed to develop and implement effective and efficient strategies to reach all levels of the community. You will be better prepared to educate customers on the importance of energy efficiency and renewable energy measures and their effect on customers savings. You will assist our outreach team by analyzing data to guide strategic decisions, supporting event preparation, and engaging in customer-facing activities to enhance program reach.

Responsibilities:
On-the-Job Training includes but is not limited to
- Providing sector intelligence by analyzing and summarizing data and trends within given markets and identifying opportunities to engage with these sectors
- Executing an established outreach plan for the program’s brand and message
- Developing outreach strategies to address specific sectors and markets
- Identifying outreach opportunities by ascertaining customer requirements and analyzing how the program can reach customers
- Providing one on one assistance to customers and contractors regarding their energy savings opportunities and how to utilize the program offerings
- Managing and tracking campaigns, opportunities, activities, and contacts by utilizing the program’s CRM database
- Monitoring organizations with a presence in the assigned market sector
- Representing TRC and our client during virtual and in-person trade shows, conferences, and other local events as needed, to promote and educate businesses and individuals on program offerings
- Providing event and project tracking, reporting, and invoicing support, and other administrative duties
- Demonstrating problem-solving ability with a proactive and collaborative style that works well in teams
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills
- Basic computer skills: experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated attention to detail
- Verifiable work history
- Strong interest in sustainability and energy efficiency industry
