The Program Manager will be responsible for the successfulplanning and implementation of programs in an international environment in order to achieve the project goals in terms of profit, costs, quality and deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead programs from concept to launch by interfacing, coordinating, and supporting cross functional teams across several disciplines such as engineering, quality, logistics, sales and purchasing
- Manage and interface with internal global, regional, and functional teams
- Develop and execute Project Plan
- Obtain commitment from all core team members for complete Project Plan
- Organize and execute Project Meetings (weekly team meetings, project reviews, quality gates, etc)
- Track, manage, oversee and report on all program deliverables (financials, quality, timing, technical specifications, etc.) and status. Execute Project Reviews & Escalation.
- Project Budget & Cost: Manage consolidated program costs, profitability, and budget.
- Project Risk Management: execute assessment, make proposals for risk mitigation, update, control
- Organize & Control Project Changes
- Manage, drive, and own timing and change management deliverables
- Provide "voice" to and from the customer (in alignment with Sales), serve as filter, and drive consensus on all technical aspects between customer and company objectives
- Define and assure customer deliverables and reimbursements
- Ensure application of all standardized methods, tools and forms (PDP, APQP) MAHLE and customer
- Travel to multiple MAHLE production sites (15%-25)
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Demonstrated knowledge in Business and Project Management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Automotive programs (i.e. Passenger Vehicle, Light Duty Truck, etc.)
- Ability to work in a Global environment with remote team
- Ability to Travel 15-25%
- Entrepreneurial thinking as well as extensive customer and process orientation - the ability to make fact-based decision through analyzing and addressing potential current and future program risks
- Communication and intercultural competence - able to work in teams with social and intercultural background
- Comfortable to work in a global environment including outside regular work hours
