Location : St Louis, MO (preferred) or Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Contract role
Key Skills/Experience:
Familiar with data warehousing/data migrations, able to easily talk to and understand architects/tech leads translate what theyre saying into project tasks/risks/milestones and understand inter-dependencies between work streams.
Strong natural leader who can ensure individuals keep to dates, and find inventive ways to meet schedule-based goals.
Good communicator, both written and verbal. Able to produce 95% of whats required for ESC/OSC meetings. Able to switch jargon from tech to business, with good use of analogies/examples to explain whats going on
Working Conditions Must be available to come to Charter office 50%+ of the time
Rotation available for partial work-from-home, location dependent
Ability to work in office setting 8hrs/day
No manual labor requirements
Domestic travel may be required
Project Needs and Job Duties : Charter Business Intelligence is deploying a new Data Warehouse and needs a Program Manager to run the project. This requires someone with experience leading large multi-million-dollar enterprise projects, someone adept at summarizing technical tasks and issues to an executive audience, and someone who is detailed oriented to orchestrate thousands of tasks over a 12-month engagement. Must manage a project plan, track and mitigate project risks, manage scope and facilitate program-level decision making, create status reports to multiple audiences, lead boards/committees related to the program, and collaborate within internal and external (contracted) team members.
Skills Desired Required
o Excellent communication skills, written and oral
o Strong ability to adjust language to different audiences to convey unfamiliar concepts
o Project planning, task management, and execution skills
o Ability to prioritize inter-dependent work/tasks to achieve objectives on time
o Skills required to manage scope, baseline projects, and track risks
o Natural leader, ability to manage a matrix-style organization effectively
Preferred
o Strong presentation (PowerPoint) skills
o Smartsheet
o JIRA
o Budget tracking
Preferred Experience
10+ Years leading technical projects
5+ Years in the IT, BI, or Analytics space, familiar with data concepts
Prior experience in a technical role (data engineer, data analyst, software developer, etc.)
Prior experience with a data migration or data warehouse deployment project highly preferred
Prior experience leading people and managing personality differences
Prior experience successfully presenting status to VP+ level audiences
Prior experience leading board or committee meetings
Preferred Education
Bachelors in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent industry experience to understand technology
Bachelors in Program/Project Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience to understand how to manage project teams/objectives
PMP Certified
