About the Job
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Western Ranges Program Manager to join our team supporting NSWC Corona Range Systems Department to manage the Naval Integrated Training Environment (NITE) contract. This position will work from a government facility located in the western U.S., preferably Fallon, NV or San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Reports directly to the Task Order Program Manager; will be a manager of managers.
+ Manages a team of ManTech and sub-contractor support personnel supporting the NITE contract.
+ Coordinates with Task Order PM, NITE Management Staff, RS20 LVC Training Division Manager team, and NCTE Program Manager team for team daily/weekly and long range work assignments and support requirements.
+ Enforces work standards, assigns contractor schedules, reviews work discrepancies, supervises contractor personnel, and communicates policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.
+ Supports a team environment based on mutual respect and teamwork, dedicated to innovation and effective, efficient work practices.
+ Supports the Task Order Program Manager in providing overall excellent contract performance to the client as outlined by CPAR.
+ Directs, coordinates, and manages overall functions of Western Ranges. Develops and implements strategies, policies, and procedures in the execution of this effort with respect to Western Ranges.
+ Evaluates overall management of Western Ranges to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Ensures effective coordination across different functional groups and areas.
+ Collects, reviews, and analyzes information to make recommendations to the government.
+ Reports findings and recommendations to the government. Reports are usually submitted in writing, but oral presentations regarding findings also are common.
+ Works closely with NITE Support team and NSWC Corona RS management team in an integrated product team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or related field
+ 5 years of managing large Scale DoD Efforts
+ 10 years of professional experience in program/project management
+ Experience managing dispersed workforce and diverse functions in support of large-scale DoD efforts.
+ Familiarity with Range Operations and ISO 9000.2015
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in STEM or related field
+ Familiarity with the United States Navy
+ Experience with NSWC Corona RS Division
Clearance Requirements:
+ DOD Top Secret or Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret
Physical Requirements:
+ 10% travel anticipated
+ Work will require movement from the ManTech site to the government site for client meetings and support functions
+ The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which will involve delivering presentations.
