Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid, on-site as needed)
Remote Work: Available with occasional travel required
This position has the option to work a 9/80 schedule, which is a compressed work schedule, with alternate Fridays off.
Job Description:
- Project Leadership
- Lead software engineering teams using Agile methodologies.
- Develop and implement project management processes compliant with government requirements.
- Provide strategic direction to drive task execution and project success.
- Resource/Cost/Schedule Management:
- Manage costs and resources to meet project budgets.
- Develop and maintain schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Utilize SDLC collaboration tools for effective team communication.
- Provide supervision and support to project personnel.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance or be able to obtain one.
- 5 years of project/program management experience, with a focus on:
- Leading software engineering teams using Agile methodologies.
- Establishing and implementing project management processes that adhere to government requirements.
- Providing strategic project and technical leadership to ensure task execution.
- Managing costs and resources in alignment with budgets, utilizing EVM principles.
- Developing and maintaining schedules, including POAM and IMS, to meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in using SDLC collaboration tools such as Atlassian and Azure DevOps.
- Supervising personnel effectively, including providing clear communication and feedback.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Project, SharePoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Familiarity with DoD programs, specifically under US Navy programs
*Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000
