Description:
Our client has an immediate need for a Program Manager, who is responsible for providing program management expertise to support multiple business-level initiatives, ensuring they are planned, organized, and delivered on time and within budget
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial services in a program/project management role
- At least 2 years experience as a scrum master with the ability to guide others on Agile/Scrum principles and oversee/monitor releases
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills are a must – the ability to provide progress narratives and communicate effectively for a C-suite audience is required
- In-depth knowledge and proven application of Program and Project Management methodologies (including agile and waterfall) and full project lifecycle including documentation standards, risk, issue, assumption, and dependency management and change controls process
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to interact, influence, and partner with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, adaptability, and latitude, responding efficiently to changing projects and dynamics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – the ability to diagnose problems, resolve and escalate impediments, determine key findings and opportunities, prioritize strategic solutions, and present clear and comprehensive recommendations to senior management
- Ability to facilitate quarterly planning with technology and business stakeholders, ensuring a clear line of site on dependencies, time to execute, resourcing, and expected business outcomes
- Have a continuous learning and innovation mindset with a strong degree of industry awareness and context
- Flexibility to work on technology, change, and business process programs
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills with competent use of other Microsoft Office applications
- Competent with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and Planview
- Ability to query JIRA, mine for updates across several organizations within JIRA, and create JIRA roadmap views as required
- Ability to create Confluence views, including the use of wizards is needed
Responsibilities:
- Work with Program Owners to manage incoming requests and the prioritization process (Pipeline) for the Private Bank Product and Business Solutions Team
- Manage the overall Town Roadmap, Dependencies & Impediments log and support monthly performance reporting, OKRs, goal scorecard, and budgets to senior management
- Responsible for reporting on progress for OKRs, including the maintenance and reporting of data required for key performance indicators
- Work with Town Finance to ensure project costs are tracking to budget and flag issues as needed
- Escalation of cross-team impediments, blockers, and dependencies
- Achieve resolution through collaboration with delivery and team leads, escalating when appropriate for executive decisions
- Track and support the maintenance of town risks and issues, procedures, BCP plans, and other program deliverables
- Support established governance processes and ensure teams are executing in alignment with delivery governance standards
- Develop and maintain program communication pages (i.e., Confluence), including support of communications to internal customers
- Manage resource allocations to Private Bank commitments, ensuring all resources are tracking time appropriately
- Drive high-quality reporting in a timely manner for senior and executive management along with ad hoc requests
- Review each scrum team’s performance using OKRs, agile metrics, and other appropriate tools and techniques to monitor team maturity and performance
- Identify and quantify any variances, recommend any required corrective actions, and monitor progress on agreed pod coaching/action plans
