Program Manager - Reading Truck

How You Will Make an Impact
The Program Manager at Reading Truck will primarily be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to execute new product development programs and other significant projects within time and budget. Secondarily, the Program Manager will be responsible for managing major product and organizational process changes across multiple business and functional areas.

The Nuts and Bolts
• Be accountable for leading the successful delivery of a program or project according to measures of scope, time, cost & quality.
• Manage large scale programs from initiation to close
• Product development and new product launch programs
• Product change management and continuous improvement projects
• Process implementation and software development programs, e.g. CPQ implementation projects
• Define and assemble project teams to develop and execute project plans and schedules
• Manage tasks across multiple functional teams to meet program goals
• Regularly meet with stakeholders to identify and discuss project issues and assign responsibilities and timelines
• Balance project scope/budget/timelines and manage risk in accordance with requirements.
• Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and executives, and provide regular program updates.
• Provide business and technical leadership needed for the successful conduct of the program.

Required Credentials
• Bachelor's Degree in Business/IT, Marketing, Project Management, Engineering, or related field of study
• Three (3) years of experience as a Program Manager in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in the truck body building/up-fit, automotive, or related industries
• Experience in steel and aluminum sheet metal manufacturing
• Proven experience in program management, stakeholder management, and managing cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement strongly preferred
• Experience with customer facing applications and sales configurators (CPQ software)
• PMI/PMP professional certification preferred
• Six Sigma certification (Green belt or higher) preferred
• Proficient in creating project plans (Gantt Charts) and crafting detailed statements of work (SOW)
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to organize and manage data with attention to detail and accuracy
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams/SharePoint, and Outlook
