Description:
The program manager position reports to the department Program Management Office (PMO)and day-to-day works within an assigned software development team. Work requirements include:
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization.
- Drive program management activities, to include scopes, schedule, cost, technical, and staffing performance and related reporting activities for a range of small to complex security programs.
- Lead problem-solving discussions with technology and various cross-functional team members, focusing on under‐standing Toyota’s core and value-added products while ensuring scalable solutions.
- Waterfall project management, e.g., independently capable of developing and maintaining an MS project plan consisting of GANTT charts, resource leveling, budgets, tasks and dependencies, re-baselining projects as required, and developing reports and dashboards to track project status.
- Agile project management, e.g., independently capable of acting as a SCRUM master, scheduling, and running daily stand ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint retrospectives, sprint demonstrations, and developing reports and dashboards to track project status.
- Experience with monthly report creation exercising strong diligence to accurate reporting and data storytelling
- Interfaces with all levels of the organization, facilitating communication between parties to understand resource, schedule, and scope conflicts and constraints and identify a mutually agreed upon path to success.
- Create and drive product evangelism both externally and across internal stakeholder organizations.
Non-Negotiable Qualifications:
- Highly organized, detail oriented, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- BA/BS in Computer Science, business, or engineering
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering program/project management
- Advanced proficiency in English language: spoken, written
- Experience with large-scale, global, distributed software programs
- Experience in a supply chain setting is a must
- Experience in budget and financial planning is a must
- Strong technical competence in Microsoft tool suite
- Strong technical competence with software-development processes (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) & tools, namely: Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
- Knowledgeable of cloud-based development environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
