We are seeking a mental health professional (LCSW or LMFT) for the position of Program Manager (an adult residential, state-licensed, service enriched facility and transitional housing program located on the grounds of Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk).

We are seeking a mental health professional (LCSW or LMFT) for the position of Program Manager (an adult residential, state-licensed, service enriched facility and transitional housing program located on the grounds of Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk).
Responsibilities:
- Provide training to line staff, including training staff on DMH paperwork, CERTS charting, group work and using psycho-social rehabilitation interventions.
- Conduct rounds with Clinical Head of Services and with case managers to provide information regarding client updates, pending graduation, incidents, and interventions.
- Supervise case managers to ensure they are meeting deadlines, quotas, where both quality and quantity of work is emphasized.
- Participate in and / or lead peer audits and chart reviews.
- Conduct field based/online clinical interviews of potential clients from IMDs / hospital referrals.
- Present information regarding facility at monthly discharge meetings at IMDs.
- Facilitate two or more psycho-social rehabilitation groups per week.
- Participate in DMH and other community meetings as may be needed, including QIC and IMD and share information gleaned with staff.
- Provide supplemental supervision and training to Intake/Discharge Coordinator.
- Delegate or interface with staff of Full Service Partnerships (FSP) and other agencies to coordinate treatment and plan for clients’ discharge;
- Monitor FSP weekly log report of case managers.
- Participate in Managers Meetings / All Staff Meetings / Clinical Team Meetings and provide minutes as necessary.
- Conduct assessments with incoming clients, diagnose clients using interview and DSM V and ICD-10.
- Prepare and monitor annual Appraisal Needs & Services Plans and updates, as necessary for Community Care Licensing.
- Provide crisis intervention to assist in medical / psychiatric emergencies.
- Understand facility protocol in emergency situations.
- Provide clinical support to case managers through guidance, leadership, and training.
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision with Clinical Head of Services as needed.
- Attend trainings for further growth.
- Understand roles of staff to provide leadership to work toward program mission.
- Appropriately delegate and monitor assignments and duties to clinical staff.
- Participate in planning and implementing groups, parties, and other resident and/or staff activities.
Experience, Education, Skills and Abilities:
- LMFT or LCSW licensure a must with 3-5 years’ experience working with mentally ill persons in various settings.
- Experience in delivery of mental health and case management services and working in collaboration with adjunctive agencies in providing such services for residents.
- Knowledge of community resources, familiarity with vocational rehabilitation, independent living skills training, local housing resources, Community Care Licensing, DMH, SSA, DPSS, Medi-Cal and Medicare guidelines as pertinent to residents of the program.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills while developing and maintaining relations with clients and staff.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Word and Excel) and Database knowledge
- Must be willing to participate in additional training and meetings, as requested.
- Fingerprints and background must be cleared.
- Must provide own car, show proof of adequate automobile insurance, UI motorist coverage and evidence and maintenance of a safe driving record.
