Job Summary
The Program Manager overseesall aspects of cultural resource projects, ensures compliance with relevant regulations, and fosters positive relationships with federal clients and stakeholders.

Compensation:
Chloeta reserves the right to offer any candidate above or below the listed compensation amount based on experience or business needs.
- $120,000-$160,000 per year

Duties/Responsibilities
- Develops and implements cultural resource management plans in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manages a team of cultural resource professionals, including archaeologists, historians, and other specialists.
- Coordinates fieldwork activities, including survey, excavation, and documentation.
- Conducts research and analyses to identify cultural resources and assess their significance.
- Prepares technical reports, environmental impact assessments, and other documentation for regulatory review.
- Collaborates with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to address concerns and facilitates project approvals.
- Stays current on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in cultural resource management.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Understanding of CRM principles, practices, and regulations, including relevant federal laws such as the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Section 106 compliance, and associated guidelines.
- Proficiency in archaeological field methods, including survey techniques, excavation procedures, artifact analysis, and site documentation.
- Ability to conduct thorough research, analyze findings, and interpret data related to cultural resources, including historical documents, maps, and archaeological reports.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and database management systems for spatial analysis, data organization, and report generation.
- Strong writing skills to prepare clear, concise, and technically accurate reports, assessments, and regulatory documents.
- Experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams of cultural resource professionals, including archaeologists, historians, and field technicians.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute cultural resource projects within budget and schedule constraints, while ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences, including clients, regulators, team members, and community stakeholders.
- Sensitivity to cultural diversity and respect for indigenous perspectives, traditions, and heritage in the context of cultural resource management.
Education and Experience
- Required:Master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field to Cultural Resources
- Required: At least ten (10) years of experience in program management with five (5) years of working experience in cultural resources.
- Required: Completion of Archeology or Cultural Anthropology field school
- Preferred: At least two (2) years of cultural resources experience in the Great Plain Regions; Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas
- Preferred:Project Management Professional (PMP)
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
