Position Title: Sr. Program Manager – Ford Model e
Ford is redefining how it will build a better world for the future by creating a culture and opportunities where employees will capitalize on Ford’s excellence in designing and building the most iconic products while also helping develop the future of world-class connected Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). We call this new business Model e. The creation of Model e was informed by the success of small, passionate Ford teams that developed the Mustang Mach-E SUV and F-150 Lightning pickup, as well as Ford’s dedicated EV division in China. Similarly, dedicated teams within Model e will create software platforms and fully networked vehicle architectures to support delightful, always-on and ever-improving vehicles and experiences. We are building a team of the world’s best software, electrical and automotive talent and turning them loose to create shockingly great electric vehicles and digital experiences for new generations of customers. These changes in our business will allow us the greatest opportunity to bring value and serve customers since Henry Ford scaled the Model T.

What you’ll be able to do:
Program Management
+ Maintain a comprehensive perspective of performance across all Model e vehicle lines to provide thought leadership on top-priority initiatives and areas in need of support.
+ Take a portfolio view to shift attention, focus, and resources to areas with the greatest need for engagement.
+ Liaise with vehicle line finance on overall financial status (e.g. booked, realized, etc.) of initiatives for all Model e vehicle lines.
+ Partner with members of Model e’s Leadership team to effectively plan and manage complex, cross-functional projects from the initial ideation phase through final execution and sustainability.
+ Act as a bridge across teams, connecting and facilitating clear communication, ensuring interdependencies are understood and planned for.
+ Maintain cadence, attendance, and reporting for biweekly Vehicle Business Reviews (VBRs) and monthly Vehicle Summits; co-lead with Vehicle Team Leads and challenge assumptions.
+ Set agendas for executive readouts and manage communications materials to coordinate senior stakeholders.
Best Practices and Continued Improvements
+ Lead adherence to best practices and drive continued improvement of tracking, reporting, and the overall management system to ensure consistent project delivery in support of Model e’s business.
+ Maintain a perspective on next steps for process improvements to enhance project delivery and efficiency.
+ Manage robust organizational communication and feedback channels for vehicle teams, skill teams, and Model e leadership to inform ongoing improvements.
+ Ensure NA and EU stakeholders are aligned with each other and aware of priorities and processes.
+ Drive adoption of agile collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet) to establish broader transparency and prioritization of work.
+ Facilitate use of analysis tools (e.g. initiative tracking, analysis playbooks, etc.) that enable the organization to track progress of priorities from new demand through launch.
Special Projects
+ As needed, manage a small team to support high-priority content requests.
+ Anticipate bottlenecks, provide critical issue management, and articulate risks, trade-offs, and recommended prioritization based on a balance of business needs, constraints, and customer impact.
Team Leadership
+ Direct one Central PMO Support resource.
+ Work closely with Vehicle Line PMO Support and Central Financial Analysts.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 10+ years of demonstrated experience in leading organizational transformation and innovation.
+ 5+ years leading complex, cross-functional projects with autonomy in an unstructured environment.
+ Expert project management and leadership skills, including ability to lead by influence.
+ Strong communication skills; ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs to tell a compelling data-driven story and deliver recommendations for business action.
+ Entrepreneurial spirit, persistence, and resilience; methodical thinker with an ability to thrive on and drive change while navigating ambiguity.
+ Experience in effective cross-functional collaboration
+ Passion for self-growth and desire to learn new skills and gain knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree
+ Well-versed in data analysis and reporting to track project performance.
+ Solid financial acumen.
+ Comfort with ambiguity and proficiency in the ability to plan, organize, and drive results in an unstructured environment.
+ Effective relationship building and communication skills across all levels of an organization.
+ Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills; able to use data to translate ambiguous problems into solutions.
