Position Summary:
+ Serve as primary point of contact for members of the Major and Principal Gift team with internal and external constituents; prioritize and handle confidential requests using independent judgment and discretion.
+ Execute the daily work of the Major and Principal Gift program – a significant program that impacts the largest segment of Development’s fundraising – under occasional guidance.
+ Plan, organize, and manage resources and events of the Major and Principal Gift team to bring about the successful completion of the team’s goals and objectives.
+ Use analytical decision making when managing the priorities and initiatives of Major and Principal Gift Officers’ work.
+ Monitor progress of priority prospects for members of the Major and Principal Gift team in conjunction with the Analytics and Strategic Initiatives team.
+ Provide budgetary management of donor solicitations and systematically monitor individual fundraising results of the Major and Principal Gift team to ensure gifts are recorded accurately.
+ Manage calendaring, coordinate meeting materials and research, and create briefings for VUMC leadership across the medical center.
+ Coordinate all necessary travel arrangements, manage itineraries, and handle expense reports for Major and Principal Gift Officers.
+ Provide leadership and build professional relationships when collaborating with colleagues across the medical center in an effort to accomplish successful Major and Principal Gift donor interactions.
+ Exercise significant and independent discretion regarding the confidential nature of personal, prospect and donor information, including grateful patient information.
+ Promote growth and expansion of the Major and Principal Gift program through donor pipeline activities.
+ Independently compile data for special projects and/or reports.
+ Attend donor meetings/events as needed.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) (Required)
+ 3 years relevant experience (Required)
