The LOSA Program Manager will facilitate the Line Operations Safety Audit (LOSA) program and assist in the monitoring of safety programs from a variety of sources to identify and report trends. They will coordinate with flight crews and other departments to conduct comprehensive safety audits. In addition to facilitation of the data collection process, they will be responsible for the development of continuous improvement strategies by generating Threat & Error Management (TEM) performance targets for Flight Operations and creating action plans to improve safety and efficiency. This position requires strong collaboration and consulting skills, and the confidence and competence to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Primary Functions will include:
- Consult and coordinate the implementation and execution of LOSA methodologies, tools, and templates across the business, evaluating and diagnosing current state, identifying needs, and developing future state approaches with the labor union and business partners.
- Coordinate the efforts of approximately 45 line pilot LOSA observers.
- Coordinate the review of audit data for data validation.
- Analyze audit and other data sources to identify trends and areas for safety enhancements for incorporation in the Flight Operations Safety Assurance Group.
- Prepare and present reports on audit findings and program progress to senior management.
- Provide analytical assistance to other Flight Operations departments
- Work closely with Manager, Flight Operations Safety Assurance and Risk Management to manage Safety Assurance strategies to address specific business needs and drive proactive risk management results.
- Execute projects from the development of an idea or concept through implementation using project management, teamwork / group facilitations skills, and ensuring alignment with organizational safety objectives.
- Self-manage time and prioritization of multiple initiatives, often with competing priorities, in a fast-paced environment.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Management, or related field and / or
- 7 years of experience in aviation safety programs, preferably with LOSA experience.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including Tableau development.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, to include the development of PowerPoint presentations and executive reports.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills including
- Strong and proven leadership and project management abilities.
- Project Management skills; ability to work independently and drive progress through ambiguity while producing high quality deliverables on time and within budget.
- Excellent presentations skills with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

- Advanced degree in discipline related to aviation, safety, or other related field preferred.
- FAA Airman's Certificate
- Certifications in safety management systems.
