I am currently recruiting for a Program Manager – IT Construction/Infrastructure for one of our direct clients in the US. Below are the specs for the role:
Job Title: Program Manager – IT Construction/Infrastructure
Work Location: Los Angeles, CA 90032
Duration: 12+ Months
Pay Rate Range: $70.00-$90.00/hr on W2
Note: *****Local to Los Angeles County and able to travel throughout Southern California Hospital and clinic locations as needed. The moves for this program will be done after hours and from Friday evening to Sunday night. Day time work is also needed during the week, work schedule will flex based on need.
Job Description:
• Program Manager will be responsible for the overall scope, budget, schedule and master plans for capital improvement projects, new clinic builds, MOBs, relocation efforts.
• Works closely with technical teams, construction design and planning teams, GCs and subject matter experts to assess, document program scope, describing the objectives, physical and logical requirements, and bridges the gap between technical teams and the business.
• Ability to translate technical specifications into detailed requirements.
• Through understanding of physical IT Infrastructure (low voltage cabling, network infrastructure, telecom, LAN/WAN connectivity, IT integration of medical equipment, interfaces, end users' devices planning and deployment).
• Thorough understanding of the interdependencies between construction activities and different IT systems and solutions.
• Ability to identify the different stakeholders of the internal IT teams and engage them in timely manner during the design and implementation of construction projects (Hospital, new MOBs and clinic builds)
• Ability to facilitate discussions and decision making with leadership teams and C Suite.
• Ability to understand discussions during OAC coordination meetings and identify the impact of other trades on IT infrastructure.
• Ability to coordinate with other trades during design and implementation of the IT infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple IT infrastructure projects during construction.
• In-depth understanding of contract documents related to infrastructure, design, and construction industry.
• Develops Project Charter, gathers the scope and gets sign off from Stakeholders
• Develops detailed project organization charts & roles/responsibilities matrices.
• Creates the project budget, does analysis on new projects, manages project budgets including capital and operating expenses, forecasts spend on a regular basis.
• Manages the process of equipment selection along with the SMEs, contracts, purchasing and installation.
• Builds project work breakdown structures & schedules.
• Manages project risks, issues, decisions, action items, dependencies, and change requests.
• Maintains up-to-date project documentation in the EPMO departmental repository and in Service Now.
• Adheres to the PMO defined processes, methodologies and minimum required documentation.
• Performs meeting management, communicates progress/status and health of the projects including managing the budgets and reporting on it.
• Utilizes departmental templates as intended and instructed.
• Serves as the primary liaison for assigned projects.
• Plans and manages work for staff assigned to the program (Project Managers, Project Coordinators)
• Fosters positive relationships with project team members and stakeholders.
• Perform any other Program Manager duties as assigned by the supervisor in addition to the above as required by the EPMO department.
Required Qualifications
US Citizenship is Required
• PMP certification
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred - Master's degree in related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred - Experience using Revit, Bluebeam or AutoCAD
• Preferred - RCDD certification
• Minimum 10 years of experience in leading enterprise-wide projects within a PMO.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the IT construction and/or infrastructure domain in health care organizations/hospital or clinic builds leading multi-million dollars projects.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in managing staff.
• Ability to plan, organize, motivate, mentor, direct and evaluate the work of others.
• Excellent project management skills to manage complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
• Experienced in managing project budgets – OpEx and CapEx.
• Experienced in at least one PPM tool – Service Now ITBM/ Clarity/ Planview, etc.
• Advanced team building and facilitation skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), MS Project, Smartsheet.
• Weekend and After-hours work are needed on some weekends, can flex weekday schedule to accommodate *** After hours work
