Job Description:
Client is looking for a strong team member to support the creation of the Flex Migration strategy. The team's goal is to support and directly participate in the development of the recommendation to be submitted to Executive Management for 2018 funding.
- Provide project management, including scope, timelines, communications, cost, quality, human resources, risk, and procurement for the Flex Strategy project.
- Develop and execute integrated project plans through the initiation, planning, execution, and closeout phases. Manage team issues and risks in a proactive way, identify mitigation strategies and manage strategies to completion.
- Collaborate with senior sponsors to ensure the delivery of solutions.
- Work with business subject matter experts and analysts to oversee and assist in the preparation of project documentation including final presentation materials.
- Ensure project plans are comprehensive and followed on a timely basis, analyze project performance, and take corrective action as required.
- Analyze detailed business requirements, system requirements, information flow, and vendor specifications.
- Ensure that all appropriate disciplines are represented on projects to provide subject matter expertise and resourcing to assure successful implementation.
- Manage Change Control processes.
- Ensure identification, sizing and contingency management of project dependencies and business issues and risks.
Experience/Skills
• Strong experience in PM skills, knowledge and experience are required, including leadership, communication and conflict resolution
• Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of project management, recognized as a subject area specialist with working knowledge and experience involving planning techniques and life cycle project management methodologies, quality assurance methodologies
• Project Management experience with large scale projects and programs, including Global projects and programs, with a track record of successful implementations.
• Specialist skills, knowledge and experience are required including critical thinking, leadership, communication, conflict resolution, team building, and the ability to recognize and solve problems quickly and effectively
• Must be highly organized, able to multi-task by managing multiple projects, activities, and issues
• Must be able to effectively lead large teams of seasoned subject matter experts
• Must have excellent communications and presentation skills; client communication, team direction and analytical skills
• Should have experience and successful management on a matrix basis
• Project Management Professional (PMP) and related methodology experience a plus.
• Must have well developed technical and software skills including the MS suite of Project, Visio, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel
